What Michele offers
The Yoga Spot is a unique, friendly and intimate studio conveniently located in the heart of Aberdeen’s west end.
The warm studio space is calm and tranquil, where you will feel at home the moment you walk through the door.
Michele offers a range of yoga classes and workshops suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Class styles

Power Vinyasa Yoga
For those up for a fun, challenging and often described as ‘intense’ class. These classes are always a little different; a creative mix of traditional yoga poses linked together by vinyasa. Build stability, strength and stamina as we introduce balance poses, inversions and backbends.

Slow Flow Yoga
A gentle, grounding, flowing, chill-out class with the odd small challenge thrown in now and then.

Yoga for Shoulders, Upper Back and Neck
An all-level yoga class working to release one of the tightest areas in our bodies.

Yin/Restorative Yoga
A relaxing class where we use blocks, bolsters and blankets to support all postures explored, allowing us to hold the postures for longer periods of time.

Open the Front of Your Body
A yoga class exploring postures with the focus on strengthening and increasing flexibility in the back. In order to do this we look at opening the front of the body, as well as working on the shoulders and core.

Yoga Based Core Strength
A class specifically working on the ‘core’. For anyone from beginners to advanced; and especially for those with back issues. Although an all-level class, do be prepared for it to be quite tough!

Hip Opening
An all-level yoga class specifically working on the whole hip area. A great class for anyone from beginners to advanced.
What you need to know...
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the class start time.
- Please bring your own yoga mat.
- You'll be asked to remove your shows before you come into the yoga space. There are shelves in the room for your shoes. The whole of the studio space is a no-shoe area and we practise yoga barefoot.
- There are no changing facilities, so minimise what you take along with you and please turn off mobile phones.

I love Michele's Ashtanga style Power yoga classes!
I have suffered from lower back pain and morning stiffness for many years. I had tried yoga on and off at different studios but just under 2 years ago I walked into the Yoga Spot and never looked back! I started with Michele's Ashtanga style Power yoga classes and love them. As my practice has grown I have attended other classes, there is so much choice. Michele is so supportive and has given me encouragement, strength and confidence which I can take off the mat and into daily life. And the back pain - it's gone!
